PREFERENZ® M 200 is a mannanase for use in liquid laundry detergent products. PREFERENZ® M 200 was specifically engineered for inherent stability and is part of a Stable Liquid Portfolio by IFF.

Mannanases are useful for removing tough (food) stains such as ice-cream, chilled desserts, dairy products and salad dressings. These products often contain galactomannan gums such as locust bean and guar gum. These gums bind strongly to cellulose fibers and attract soil particles suspended in the wash water due to their adhesive properties.

PREFERENZ® M 200 mannanase cleaves the ß-1.4 linkages between mannose units via hydrolysis. The resulting water-soluble carbohydrate fragments are then transported away from the fabric by the wash water.
